In 1985 I started a 3 year diploma course in piano tuning and repairs at the Royal National College in Hereford.  I graduated in 1988 and was awarded a diploma with credit.

I completed a City & Guilds qualification in Stringed Instrument and Manufacturing Design  in 1988.

During my studies I was chosen to meet Her Majesty the Queen to demonstrate piano action repairs.

In 1988 I was awarded the Kemble Piano Tuning Prize

About Me

Since qualifying in 1988 I have been self-employed tuning and repairing pianos in the North East.

In 1990 I was selected to maintain the pianos on a daily basis at the Gateshead Garden Festival.
