Angeline L. Seymour
Angeline Seymour is Organist at the Collegiate Church of St. Endellion and an experienced performer on organ and piano. She is also highly regarded as an accompanist working with instrumentalists, solo singers and choirs. Her many years as Official Accompanist to the Wadebridge Festival of Music and Speech demands the willingness to perform a wide variety of music and the ability to support and encourage performers of all ages and skill levels. She has performed with many choirs and instrumental groups (she was pianist with an acclaimed piano trio whilst still at school) for music festivals, rehearsals and concerts, once having an emergency call to accompany a choir in a concert - at less than an hours notice! She has performed in venues large and small including many occasions in Truro Cathedral for such organisations as The Cornish Gorsedd (of which she was created a Bard for services to music), St. John Ambulance and Women's Institute. At the 2007 Cornish Gorsedd Angeline was honoured by being awarded the Cornwhylen Cross, which has particular reference to her work with church music. She has played organ or piano for major works such as Rossini's 'Petite Messe Solonnelle', Handel's 'Messiah', Faure's Requiem, Haydn's 'Creation' and Brahms' Requiem.
Angeline also undertakes the all-important task of pre-exam rehearsals, coaching and aural training and is highly regarded as a teacher of piano, organ, electronic keyboard and music theory.
Conducting and choral directing are particular interests and Angeline is currently director of the Killigrew Singers and Cantate Domino, and often forms 'scratch' choirs and instrumental groups for particular occasions.
