I believe that everyone can experience the joy of making music at the piano!

I have taught piano for over 15 years in Russia and Scotland. My piano pupils have achieved excellent exam results and played in various festivals and competitions. I was born in Russia, in a town called Zhukovsky, near Moscow. I began to study piano at the age of 6 under instruction of a wonderful pianist and teacher - Regina Lopovok. In 1993 I graduated with top honours from the Children's School of Art in Zhukovsky and continued my music studies at the 1st Moscow Regional College of Music. After graduating from the College I began to work as a piano teacher and accompanist at the Children's School of Art in Zhukovsky. Later I studied Psychology at the Moscow Open Pedagogical University and received a MA degree in Psychology. My students benefit from my comprehensive knowledge of educational psychology, individual learning styles, memory techniques.

Katya is a wonderful person, her good sense of humour and flexibility always make lessons enjoyable. Most importantly, she always has the patience to make sure that you're doing everything right, and that she answers any questions that you may have.

Anna (adult student)

I have learnt more in six months with Katya than tree years with other teachers

Andrew (aged 16)

Katya has a talent for working with students of all ages and abilities. She is able to make learning fun for the younger students, and does a great job of keeping her students engaged and interested as they move up
