Patrick Hemmerle
Born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in 1981, he commenced his piano studies at the age of eight and in 1991 entered the Versailles Conservatoire. In 1995 he was awarded the Brevet d’excellence of the Conservatoire European. He took an active part in the Guyenne Summer Festival of Music where he won several times the Young Talents competition, which resulted in a number of concerts in that region.
The following year he obtained a bursary to study for a year at the Glasgow Royal Academy of Music and Drama under the tutelage of Graham Scott. During this year he was chosen by the Academy to give many recitals throughout the United Kingdom.
In 2000 he entered the Conservatoire Superiore de Paris where in 2002 he won the first prize this was followed in 2004 by a session at the Conservatoire Rueil where he studied accompaniment and was awarded the two first prizes for his year..
During the last three years Patrick has given recitals in Paris, Belgium and Spain. In Valencia last year he obtained the fourth prize in the Jose Iturbi International Piano Competition and prizes for the best interpretation of the Beethoven Concerto, the music of Chopin and Spanish music. This year at the Concours International de Piano in Toledo he won first prize as well as a special award for the best interpretation of Spanish music.
Patrick has studied under several of the most prominent teachers of the piano in Europe and for several years he has received advice from Ventsislav Yankoff and Spain’s premier pianist, Joaquine Soriano.
his repertoire cover work from bach to Ligeti,he can also play for fun video games and films musics.he is also a good sight reader and can learn a piece quickly when necessairy.
