My style of piano playing is melodic and easy to listen to but I can turn up the gass if needed. My repertoire consists of great tunes played in an original way (hopefullly) and I try to play music that that is right for the occasion. my influences are many but my main ones are Oscar Peterson, George Shearing, Erroll Garner, Monty Alexander and the Dudley Moore Trio. I try not to just mimic these musicians but I try and use these influences to create a style of playing that is a little bit different from the norm.
My jazz trio consists of the classic piano, bass and drums line up while the duo can be either piano and bass or piano and vocals. The quartet is quite simply piano, bass, drums and vocals. We do the classic standards of Jerome Kern, George Gershwin, Cole Porter etc. and our style is again mellow and easy to listen to.
