A few questions regarding a Hobart M Cable console piano that I am considering for purchase (as yet I have not seen it):
Serial #233163 -- What year is this from?
Assuming that it has not been abused, and has been kept in a suitable environment (not a basement), what is the likelihood that the strings will still produce good tone?
Also, what likelihood that any parts that are "dry-rottable" would be in good condition?
Also, what likelihood that it will endure and hold a tuning?
Thanks for any help you can provide!
P.S. Here's a link to an interesting website of a former colleague--if you enjoy ragtime, you will appreciate this:

233163 = 1908
As to the rest of your enquiry you need to talk to a US piano tuner who will be formula with this make give your local tuner a call
