Hi - I want to buy my boyfriend an electric piano but have no idea where to start. He is a beginner and I can't afford to spend my life savings (especially as I don't have any!) Can anyone give me some advice or pointers where to get started.

Try ebay for the Yamaha P-60.

There is a small Casio EP-760 which has semi-weighted keys.

I'd suggest going online as shops are more expensive. Ebay or shop's own websites.

Yamaha are good, and yuo might want to try Korg. Roland make some nice cheap ones.

Don't get a technics. They went out of selling them in the UK so if you are offered one, refuse as they are trying to get rid of old rubbish stock.
