I have a John Broadwood & Sons Piano ,it is not full size (approx 48" long). It is in reasonable condition.
Is it worth anything and how do I find out its history.

Broadwood pianos have been made for over two hundred years, there are thousands of them around, and all you have told us is the one measurement, and not even which way you are measuring it. Is it an upright, grand or square piano? Are there any numbers inside the top? Have a look at the Valuation link at pianogen.org

Thankyou for the info. The measurement is its length across the keyboard. It is an upright piano.I believe the keyboard is not a full keyboard .I think it has 3 less keys either end.I was told it was a 3/4 piano ,what ever that means.

It depends what you call a "full keyboard", many modern pianos have 88 notes, most old ones have 85. You need to look for the serial number, which should be easily visible inside the top. This will give us the approximate date of manufacture. Nobody can value it without on-the-spot inspection. Also, have a look at the Datemarks link at
