I have a Baby Grand marked on the centre of the lid Bannister London. On the right inside of lid is Albert Wagstaff Manchester in smaller lettering. The serial number is 52917. Could you tell me of the pianos history - maker, age etc.

Bannister doesn't seem to be a real maker, and I have failed to find any reference when I've been asked in the past, so this is probably an alias, but Wagstaff was a dealer over a very long period, at least 1886-1936 (when he was "Ltd.) or beyond. No serial number dates are available, and the best option is datemarks. Press www below, then press "Aliases" or "Datemarks", or...
