Hi All. I have just recently brought an antique upright piano in to my home (Malta, Europe). It's about 70 years old and either British or German in make. Unfortunately through the years the manufacturer / make has been taken off and all I have to go on is a serial number - V17642. Is there anyone who could point me in the right direction to find out this information? Thanks and regards

Kelly

Serial numbers don't usually begin with a letter, this is probably a dealer's stock number, and anyway, a number is no use without a name. Can you email some photos to me? I can't think of any reason that would connect British and German uprights, but exclude all other countries.
