We are looking to buy a piano for our daughter (7yrs), she has been learning to play for over a year now.
I have been reading larry fine, but I still have lots of questions. Our budget is about $3000.
Do I need a studio? I see nordiska studios that are in our range. How good are these?
I can get a 30 yr old Yamaha U1 with 5 year warranty for that price.
I also found a young chang U121 with an asking price of $2500, was U121 manufactured in China? Or are they before that time?
There are also some Baldwin 243 about $4000, or the 662 that are around $3300.
What about a Kawai CX5H, Larry fine doesn't like those much. Would that be a good buy for around $2800?

This is the UK the prices are meaningless to us and I have never seen a nordiska studio piano,

The others we can help on a 5 year warranty on a second hand piano is worth having as Yamaha only give that for their new ones, in the UK you will get a 20 year old U3 for around $3000
