Hi again
Currently my Brinsmead and Sons upright is situated in our family room. At the moment the house is fully carpeted, but we will be pulling up the carpet in this room and replacing it with tiles in a few weeks.
Am I right in thinking the piano would be better placed in a room where the carpet will be retained... (it will have to be moved during the transition period anyway) or would it be ok on the tiles...not sure at this stage what material the tiles will be made from...possibly slate or vinyl.
I have several options for retaining it on carpet if this is the best way to go. |

Makes no real difference to the piano so long as the surface is level. However, were it would make a deference is to the tone , on a slate floor the piano will sound louder and brighter

| Thanks Barrie...that's what I thought...I prefer a more mellow tone so will move it to an area which will remain carpeted. |
