Can someone help me identify my Bentley please? It was made in approx 1988-1990 - the serial number appears to be 6387 - markerpen on frame - but not stamped. There is a label on the frame - 86/420199 - but this number is too high for 1986 according to the Bentley historic data. Confused

The number are stamped in black on Bentleys to the right of the piano above the tuning piano maybe they run out of ink and used a marker pen could the number be 1638- a bit rubbed off as that would date it 1989

Thanks - I will take another close look, but I cannot find any number stamped on the frame. The marker pen number 6837 is very clear - although not applied very professionally - I wondered whether that was just the stock number. Will contact Russell Acott in Oxford who supplied it.

The mfg. date of all Bentleys is written on the lowest key in pencil.

You will have to lift the key out, as it's written on the side of the key. If unsure, ask your tuner to remove it the next time he visits.

Regards

PG
