I have just purchased a 1930 Eavestaff Minipiano, in pretty good condition.

It will be delivered this week.

It needs cleaning, polishing and tuning, also a few minor repairs to the dampers.

But what should I do first?

This is my first piano and the last thing I want to do is damage it.

I've heard pianos need to acclimatise before tuning?

What’s the best way to clean out the dust?

Whats the best cleaner for keys?

Any suggestions on it’s renovation and conservation would be appreciated ?

I really just looking forward to playing it.

Thanks,
Oscar

Your first job is get a tuner out to it………..

But that all depends on which model some tuners will only tune the Royal with the semi drop actions if it is the under the key board tuning pin one you may have to learn to tune it your self
