There were at least three firms called Neumeyer, in London, Vienna and (most famously) Berlin. Can you tell me which yours is? See notes below. _________________ I do not buy, sell or value pianos, but I sometimes rescue pre-1890 pianos in the UK.
Have a look at the Datemarks page on my own website: http://www.pianogen.org

manufacturer: neumeyer, berlin
piano: overstrung, overdamped
I have the action number at home, and the makers names (and I think ther serial number) is written on the side of a few of the keys. Least I think its the serial number as a five digit number - I can have a look though and check again. In fact I will do so when I get home. _________________ Disclaimer

If your note means that you have the maker and number of the action, this can be dated by the "Numbers" information on the PianoGen website. Neumeyer's own numbers are not available, but Neumeyer piano #10,339 was probably new in 1896.
