Im 24 and have been playing piano for about ten years, Ive never had any lessons but seem to have picked it up and its my all time favourite hobby. However i have hit a bit of a wall and can't progress without help. I know that if i go to a regular teacher and am sat down in front of a book about reading music and scales then I will just get bored.

Does anyone know of a fun piano teacher in the London area who can help me to progress at blues and rock and boogie woogie piano without expecting me to do all my grades, I understand that I will need to one day grasp reading music and all that stuff but I need to take it slowly! Thanks for any help you may be able to give me. I've been learning from a great teacher who lives in Camden. www.louisvause.co.uk. Very good and knows exactly how to teach the blues.
I've also had a few lessons with Daniel Smith who performs regulary as well. Excellent. www.hants.gov.uk/daniel.smith
Try checking out these other guys as well and try to go to their gigs if you can.

Dino Baptiste is playing a ' dualling piano ' gig with another great boogie pianist Ben Waters ( knows Jools Holland well and has recorded with him ) on the 23rd September this year at the Appledram Beer Festival. www.bluesonthefarm.co.uk These guys pump out some of the best rock and roll and boogie piano I've every heard. If you're really into this style of piano then you simply must get a ticket!
