Hi All,
First of all, I have read the previously posted topic on Kirkman's Piano with great interest.
I personally own a Kirkman Piano, which I must say plays very well with no real requirement for tuning on a frequent basis. Its a fantastic instrument with its own beautiful sound.
I have been attempting to locate a bit more information about the make of piano and I have found all links on this forum and website invaluable for my quest for knowledge!
Now the fun part which everyone likes to know, how much is my piano worth?
I have not found a serial number though I plan to have a right good look but I do know that it has an Iron frame which makes it bloody heavy to move, my back is testiment to that!!!! Previously, one piano mover in Glasgow stated "it was worthless and that he would take it off my hands for nothing" but I'm always a bit dubious of folk like this. I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction of a valuer in the Glasgow (Scotland) area?
Thanks
Kyle |

I am a piano historian, I can certainly help you with historical infiormation about the Kirkman firm, or compile a report from photos of the piano, but VALUATION IS IMPOSSIBLE WITHOUT ON-THE-SPOT INSPECTION!! _________________ I do not buy, sell or value pianos, but I sometimes rescue pre-1890 pianos in the UK.
