I find this site to be very nice. I have a Arthur allison & co. piano. Have been doing research on for a couple of yrs. now. My husband bought from his boss this piano which he said he bought at an estae sale. His boss was dying w/ cancer when we bought it so i never had the chance to get info on it. His boss was avery wealthy man so i figure it was very expensive. This piano was a prize medal in the exhibition of 1885. It says Horne Thompson and co. on it also. Ihave seen one like it on the website ask.com. There was a website from a person who had a picture that they were trying to sell it and this person was from Scotland. My piano was almost the spitting image of it. My piano has serial # 3 times in different places on it. Has magnifcant picture across the front panel and was supposed to have sconces but they were missing when I bought it. It also has signatures under the keyboard flap of Arthur and Horne AND SOMEONE ELSE BUT i CANNOT pernounse the name, This piano is walnut Burl I think. Is very pretty. Can anyone give me info on this piano. It has ivory keys and looks like it has never been redone in any way. I think the last time it was tuned was probably afew yrs. ago.
Thanks, Beth

Serial Number would help and if you register you would know if some one had replied

I have lots of information on the Allison firms, and I can quote for printing a booklet, but as far as your own piano is concerned, photos would be useful. Press www below. I'll see what I can find about the supplier. You say the number is written in 3 places, but you don't say what it is.
