I have the aforementioned piano - fairly recently refurbished, though still with a rather heavy action, but battered cosmetically. I appreciate that these Victorian pianos are worth very little, but it would at least be interesting to know roughly what age it is when I get rid of it!

The dates of some Hopkinson numbers which are published in various "Piano Atlases" are wrong, suggesting 1885 in this instance. I cannot tell you any more just from the number, could you email me some photos?
