I am trying to sell my Knight piano on the ebay, however, i have an enqiry about the model of the piano. I have been told it is a K10 Slimline piano, however, I could not find any identification from the piano itself. It will be very gratefull if anyone would help me out.

its a K10 Slimline piano made by Bentleys c1995

The K10 Slimline
Height: 112 cm (3' 8")
Width: 140 cm (4' 7")
Depth: 54cm (1' 10")

Bentleys then WMC then BPM made 3 models of Knight

The K10 London (with the K10 back)
The K10 Slimline (without the K10 back)
The Savoy

A bit misleading to write "current new price nearly £6000" when they haven't been made since 2003 don'cha think?

Thanks Barrie for your information about my piano, thats very kind fo you. Its very interesting, i have never heard that some Knight pianos were made by Bentley. I just wonder if you know why was that , and are there any differences between the real Knight K10 and the Bentley K10. And why are they using the same name (K10)?

Hi Piano Guy, thanks for pointing it out to me. I obtained the information from another source, i will definitely change it. Really appreciate your comment.

Thank you,

Belle

They were certainly that price in '03, but never really worth it!!

Some people loved them though!

Bentley acquired Knights the quality did drop then production moved to WMC where quality should have improved but there was a lot of discontent there at the time Then production moved to the hands of BPMC wel...l Hmm what can I say......

Now they are made in the fare east for the US market this company has something to do with it now

Actually, since the piano pictured doesn't feature the K10 back, I'd risk contradicting Barrie by saying it's actually a Knight York.

The K10 featured a special design of frame with no break bar between the treble and top treble hammers. Yours clearly has this bar. The K10 frame was common to all K10s AFAIK regardless of which ownership they were made under. The York was a cheaper piano altogether and featured a conventional frame design.

That was my first thou rt.... but 1990 Bentleys were making Knights did they make a York will have to up in the loft and look at their old catalogue. In 1993 when Welmars took over they only made 3 models.

Hi all,
This piano is a York model. The K10 was never marketed with a standard frame. Also look at the sides of the piano. A K10 has seperate, inset cheeks. This piano has the one piece side of the York model. York pianos were being produced in '95.
I've also asked the factory people and they confirm this.
