hi, I am thinking of buying an ALEXANDER HERRMANN 115cm upright. I get the impression that these pianos were not very well liked. It seems to have a good sound , the tuner says it has agraffes and renner action.
I think the serial number is 44587.
Has anyone got any opinions on these pianos etc. should i buy it or steer away from gdr pianos? |

Is it definitely a DDR piano? I haven't got my Michel's handy to check the number. Look for the fatal words or acronyms: "Union, DDR, GDR or VEB"
If so, you'd be well advised to try something else. |

PIANOGUY, my alexander herrmann does have GDR on the back of it.
could you check the serial number 44587 to see what year it was made please.

| 44587 would suggest around 1980 ? |
