I've just taken delivery of a Yamaha C1S silent grand, which is amazing. Very good action and tone and build quality.

Also, the digital piano sample when silent mode is engaged is the best I've ever heard.

But, when silent mode is on, if I play a little bit harder (not too hard, but not soft) some of the strings sound on certain notes at a low volume.

Is this normal?

The stop rail should stop all the hammers for hitting the strings when the tuner comes to do your free tuning they should be able to sort it out

Thanks for the reply Barrie. It's only on certain notes and if I hit fairly hard - only down the bottom end of the keyboard too.

I'll have a word with the tuner - although I didn't get a free tuning unfortunately :p
