Hi there, I'm looking to buy a digital piano within the next few months, although I'm having trouble deciding on which manufacturer model etc.

I don't want to go over &1000 if I can help it (the cheaper the better!), but I'll spend a little more if the model has what I need.
Pianos I've looked at include the Technics SXPX663/4, the Kawai CN290, and the Roland HP-2/3.

A friend who plays in public a lot recommended Technics and Roland as good manufacturers, although I have heard good things about Kawai aswell.

Mainly, I'd like the piano to have a realistic touch, fairly light, but not at all "plasticy" and hollow (if that makes sense!). I also want a realistic piano sound, and the feature where the lower keys are heavier and higher notes lighter would be nice. A 2 track recorder, and PC input/output (GM) would be nice, although not essential. Different styles, sounds, backing tracks etc are not important at all.

Have you any recommendations? Somebody also told me that Technics no longer sell pianos in the UK, is this true?

Many thanks, Matt.
