| I am trying to find more information out about my upright piano. The information i have so far is that it was made by William Squire of London & that it is a straight strung, overdamper piano with spring & loop action. The set-off rail is at the front of the action & the piano has a wallnut finish. I have been advised that it was made circa 1890 but this is uncertain. Any help that anyone can give me will be greatly appreciated. |

I can compile a report based on ptohos, and there is plenty of general information if you press www below, then press the buttons. I can also quote for printing a booklet on the Squire firms. _________________ I do not buy, sell or value pianos, but I sometimes rescue pre-1890 pianos in the UK.
Have a look at the Datemarks page on my own website: http://www.pianogen.org

The PianoGen website is, in effect, a separate site under the wing of this UK-piano site, and there is general information, nothing specifically about Squire. _________________ I do not buy, sell or value pianos, but I sometimes rescue pre-1890 pianos in the UK.
