Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone knows where I can obtain two solid brass candle holders for a Chappell and Co. Ltd. serial number 36706, dated 1900, as I am missing them on my piano. Please can anyone help as I am trying to restore my piano. Thankyou - Jason

Sconces (candleholders) are not available for individual models, they were never standard on a model, and customers could sometimes choose the type they wanted, so although I can quote for printing a booklet giving many types of sconce, nobody can tell you what these particular ones were like. It's a matter of taking whatever you can find in antique shops, junk shops, Ebay etc..

As Bill says, eBay is a good bet. Avoid angular sort of brackets, as they really belong in the Art Deco era, go for the flowing Art Nouveau style ones if you can - they'd be more in keeping with the age of your joanna.
