G'day Guys,

As most of you are now aware my piano is a bit of a mongrel.

Too old to be worth all that much, Got the wrong legs on it, a fair few chips and nicks in the good old veneer.

I am considering heading down one of two paths.

1: Reveneer the entire piano and laquer accordingly or
2: Choose a colour that suits me (definately nothing traditional) and bring it up to a mirror finish.

Regardless of which way I go I would like to have the decals on the inside of the cover replicated.

Is this something I could get a signwriter to do, or is there a better way to go about it.

Once again, and as per usual, any assistance is greatly appreciated.

you do reliase how much the casework is going to cost?
Reveneering the piano is not an option unless you own an oil well. Burr walnut is very expensive, not to mention finding someone to veneer it. Good veneerers are very hard to find.
A cheaper option would be to try and repair the existing veneer or worse case, make it black.
If it was my piano? burn it and find a better one. The actions aren't great, the body dosn't sound like its been well cared for. You would be wasting your money.

That is why I am not going to reveneer it.

I am going to paint it 2-pak like I would a car.

What I was really asking about was the transfer.

Cheers
HARRY

Paint it to match the Holden! That'd be well cool!

I am seriously considering the Volvo metallic dark blue, with a courser metalflake.

But I may just go with the corvette yellow.

Long way to go before I am committed.....to a colour that is.

I think I have just learned something....

1) Donald Trump restores pianos in England and ...

2) Is a member of this forum.
