can someone explain to me please exactly what is a pianic action and how does it differ from other actions.

It was the brand name used by the VEB-Piano Union DDR for their own actions. They differ only in that they are made of poor materials and usually are fitted with hammers that are too narrow to strike three strings of a trichord.

Various plastic components were used which are now unobtainable.

Leave it alone unless stupidly cheap.
