I'm looking to sell my piano, serial number S16477 and wanted to know about its history in case buyers ask. I understand it's overstrung & underdamped, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong! There used to be a site you could tap in the serial number and it gave you the info but I can't find it anymore. Any help with the value would be appreciated too.

Can anyone help?

This is not the actual serial number, but almost certainly one they gave it on a paper label when it was reconditioned. The real number does not have a letter before it. Have a look at the Datemarks page at www.PianoGen.org

Nobody can tell you about its specification by the serial number, unless you manage to contact the original archives of Berry Pianos, my first employers, which I have found difficult.
