Hello, I've got old piano made in Germany (I think it was made in Germany, Conrad Krause is a typical Germany name & surname). It's "Conrad Krause It has a metallic board with strings: "Uber 100 Jahre Krause 10 mal pram. gerg 1830 silb staatsmed", also It has metal string "Ernst Wittig Hoflieferant Berlin". I found something like serial number "3680", "6274" and string "Oscar Kohler Berlin No. 251364", "74741". I looked for some information about this piano, but I've found nothing. Do You know something about this piano?, can You tell me about it?. Regards Kuba

I can send You some photos.

Krause was said to have been established in 1868, but your piano seems to say "gegr. 1830". The name suggests a date before 1928, when they were "Conrad Krause Nachfolger" - succesors to Krause. I know nothing about Wittig, he was probably the retailer, but the action was made by Oscar Kohler, and its number dates the piano to around 1906.

Ask your tuner.
