Good morning all,
I have just aquired a Smith and Dawson upright piano. I'll start by saying I know nothing about pianos, but my daughter was desperate to get one to learn on. From the outside it looks a bit tatty, but with myself being into a little woodworking, I am planning on stripping the wood down and staining it. It has also recently been tuned before I picked it up (I didn't realise they were so heavy!) Can anyone here please either provide some information on this piano or point me in the right direction of websites etc. I have tried google but can't seem to find anything. I thank you in advance for any information
thanks

They were established in 1905, and still going at least into the twenties. The vast majority of piano names are not listed on the net. Have a look at the Datemarks page at www.PianoGen.org _________________ I do not buy, sell or value pianos, but I sometimes rescue wood-frame pianos in the UK.
