I have a Hobart M. Cable piano with serial number 800033. I bought it in 1992 under the assumption that it was new. My piano tuner thinks perhaps it was not new and was actually built in the 1970s and had been reconditioned. Can you tell me how old it is or approximately when it was built? Thank you! Smile

After c1966 production was taken over by Story and Clark I only have access to serial numbers up to 1996 and they end at 703629 for S&C so serial number 800033 would be after 1996 they may have been using more than one set of numbers S&C were taken over in 1993 by QRS you could ask them
