| I have an English Piano by C. E. Little & Sons, London. It is a tricord iron frame. It is enlayed with wood and mother of pearl. It has brass brackets that use to hold candlelabra. The seriel # is 27011. There is a signature inside by a tuner which states he tuned it on May 27, 1916. I would love to know if this piano is an antique and if I should try and sell it or just junk it. Any information on this piano or mfg. would be welcomed. |

Yes, I certainly have some information on file. Up to 1914, Little made 25,000 instruments bearing his own or other names, so #27011 should be after 1914. A piano #31,071 by Little is dated 1922, so 6,000 numbers in 6 years, but being wartime, we can only guess that it may have been around 1916. Further details can be obtained via the PianoGen website. _________________ I do not buy, sell or value pianos, but I sometimes rescue wood-frame pianos in the UK.
