Hi, my name is Milan. I am a professional pianist, accompanist and highly qualified piano teacher. I obtained my B.M from China Central Conservatory of Music (one of best music schools in the world) and PgDip in Piano performance from Birmingham Conservatoire. My husband Uking (musicologist and theorist) and I used to be music lecturers working for some top music schools in China and we have now been granted to live and work in this country permanently. I have more than 12-year experience teaching Piano and Aural training including three year very successful teaching in the UK.
We teach piano to all ages from Beginners (we take children under five) to advanced level including diploma and we also provide the designed tuition for music theory, GCSE, A level, and University preparation. Recent achievements our pupils have reached include playing ‘Warsaw Concerto’ at Nottingham Royal Concert Hall; offers of admission with major scholarships to Royal college of Music, Royal Northern College of Music, Trinity College of Music and Birmingham Conservatoire; Piano Grade 8 with distinction and 100% full marks of Theory Exams on Grade 5. We are also proud that one of our 6 yrs students has passed Grade 3 and another promising boy aged 7 is working on Grade 6. We are fully convinced that the learners make progress through not only enjoyment but also self-discipline that we owe a lot to Orff and Kodaly approaches and Chinese efficient methods for techniques training. We have recently CRB checked.
