I am a professional classical pianist who is also a qualified, committed and enthusiastic piano teacher with ten years' piano teaching experience. A graduate of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and a postgraduate of the Royal Academy of Music, I have also been fortunate enough to work as a full-time piano accompanist at the renowned Chetham's School of Music in Manchester. Through this school and independently, I have featured twice as accompanist in the semi-finals and finals of the BBC 'Young Musicians' Competition on BBC4. In addition, I have frequently performed as orchestral pianist for one of Britain's top orchestras. Currently I am teaching piano at Eton College and Harpenden 'Musicale' while building up my performing career (I just returned to London in January), but ideally I would like some local private students to compliment my existing teaching work. I have a wide range of teaching materials to work with and repertoire to choose from, depending on the student's age and ability, and I teach all ages, including adults and all levels up to and including diploma. I have my own car and am happy to do home visits, especially when there is more than one person in the household taking lessons. My rates are £34 per hour (£17 per half hour) for home visits and £32 per hour (£16 per 30m) for lessons I teach at my own home.
