Alice Coulam
Grade 8 Piano, Bmus (hons)
Alice is an experienced, patient and friendly piano teacher. She can teach any age and any level up to grade 8 on the piano. She usually follows the ABRSM exam syllabus for students who wish to take exams.
Alice has been teaching piano for the last 8 years and has a 100% pass rate. She can also incorporate theory, chord work, improvisation and aural skills into the lessons. Over the past couple of years she has organised a concert each term for her pupils, which they can opt to take part in, as she considers performing to be an important aspect of musical development.
Alice usually travels to her pupils and ensures that they are provided with all necessary music books and materials.
She has a well rounded musical background having been a saxophonist and jazz singer for a number of years. She has also played piano in restaurants, pantomimes and accompanied a church choir for 7 years.
Alice is currently Head of Music at Clarendon Cottage Prep School in Monton where she teaches piano, singing and guitar.
