Peter Limonov
LRAM, Bmus (Hons) 1st Class
I am an experienced concert pianist and a piano teacher, having graduated from Central Music School in Moscow with distinction, then studied under Hamish Milne at the Royal Academy of Music on a full ABRSM scholarship, where I obtained B-Mus diploma with First Class Honours and LRAM diploma. In 1998 I won the first prize at the Nicolai Rubinstein International Piano Competition in Paris.
I have had masterclasses with Alexander Satz, Stephen Hough, Stephen Kovacevich, Bernard D'Ascoli, Bruno Canino, Christina Ortiz, Ian Fountain, Konstantin Lifshitz and Leslie Howard.
I have performed extensively throughout Russia and Europe, including appearances at the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, and in the Duke's Hall in presence of HRH Prince Charles. Recent performances include a recital at La Roque d'Antheron piano festival and a broadcast on 'France Musique' radio. I have a great deal of teaching experience, with my pupils performing in festivals both at home and abroad.
I always try to make studying music as rewarding for my students as it was for me. I have been taught by the teachers of Russian school of pianism, who gave me deep understanding of technique and theory. Just give me a call and we can organise something - I'm available to teach anywhere in Central London as well as in North London.
My rate is £30 per hour, or £25 per 45 minutes
Feel free to drop me an email - I aim to respond to all enquiries within 12 hours.
Best wishes,
Peter
