I am a concert pianist and teacher, with 18 years teaching experience, and have some vacancies for Beginner through to Advanced levels (for both adults and students). These include as well those who would like to ease back to the pleasure of playing again. I am conversant with Associated Board/Trinity Exams curriculum. My pupils have earned mostly distinction in exams and/or have entered music careers themselves.
Studies at the Yale School of Music. Awards included a Best Piano Recital of the Year, Best Piano Trio Award, and the Chopin West Coast Competition. After completing my Masters, I won a Fulbright grant to study at the Royal College of Music, London with the renowned Beethoven scholar, Kendall Taylor.
Since settling in London, I have performed with orchestras and as soloist in many areas of the UK including Oxford, York and in London's Conway Hall, South Bank, and St. Martins-in-the-Field. As a chamber recitalist, I have toured in Sweden, the Netherlands and parts of the U.S. I have produced two CDs - 'Les Crudités' and 'Moonlight' - and a CD and Songbook compilation entitled 'For The Record'.
I teach both the classical and popular repertoire, and can include lessons on music theory and composition.
I teach from my home studio or can arrange home visits. Flexible hours. Full-time student discounts.
