Hello, my name is David Mease. I am a professionally trained American musician teaching many styles of music on various piano and keyboard instruments.
For more than 25 years I have been teaching and performing throughout the United States and Scandinavia. Currently I reside in North Manchester and have been teaching and performing here for the past two years.
Here at The Mease Music Studio, I offer a variety of useful courses
designed to accommodate every student's individual musical interests.
Below, I have listed the keyboard instruments that I teach and their primary differences.
TRADITIONAL ACCOUSTIC PIANO: Emphasis on note reading in both treble clef and bass clef. Chord reading with melody line and improvisational techniques also taught.
ELECTRONIC PIANO: Same as above with emphasis on various sounds and built-in rhythm patterns.
ELECTRONIC KEYBOARD: Same as above with emphasis on built-in back-ground accompaniment, rhythms and effects.
I teach piano and keyboard in many different styles including: CLASSICAL, JAZZ, ROCK, R&B, TECHNO&DANCE BEAT, COUNTRY, LATIN, HONKY- TONK and STRIDE PIANO.
Additionally, I provide individual and group instruction on the following topics: MUSIC THEORY, RHYTHMIC NOTATION, IMPROVISATION, SONGWRITING TECNIQUES, COMPOSITION AND MULTI-TRACK DIGITAL RECORDING.
Our studio is equipped with a 32 track digital recorder. With this recorder, students can experience the excitement of recording their own music and having that music mixed down onto an audio CD. Professional microphones are also available for recording lead vocal tracks, back-ground vocals and/or narration. Adding effects to the mix makes the final result all the more interesting and professional sounding.
