I currently work as a Head of Music music, composer, pianist, and examiner. I have over 18 years music teachiing experience ranging from 3+ to teaching Post Graduate Level. My teaching skills include Classical and Popular styles, Jazz, Improvisation, practical musicianship, theory, compositional and performance techniques including preparation for GCSE, A Level, Degree and ABRSM exams.
Examination presentation experience includes the full range of graded practical, theory and SQA examinations, and diplomas, with many pupils gaining distinctions and a number going on to study music at college or university.
In the past I have performed and worked with internationally recognised musicians such as John Lill, Julian Lloyd Webber and Barry Webb and played at locations such as The Sydney Opera House, Windsor, Bridgewater Hall and Sheffield City Hall.
