I have been a pupil of Doug's for the past 11 or so years.
When I first starting playing the piano at a young age(with another teacher) I learnt to play by ear so I've grown up playing without being able to read music.
He is a really patient and encouraging teacher. If it wasn't for him then I would never have started to learn to read music and discover what opportunities lay ahead of me. Being able to read music has meant that I can play songs that I like but instead of using my ears I can read exactly what is on the page of music. Music plays a large part in my life and Doug has enabled me to indulge in my passion.
